The Playboy Project (Love in the Valley Book 6)

An experiment in pleasure…
With the playboy millionaire!
Accused of being a cold fish, wildlife biologist Hermione Scott conducts a sexy experiment—a one-night stand with a gorgeous stranger! But when that stranger turns out to be infamous playboy Michael Clayton, she finds herself with a career-threatening conflict of interest. Michael’s hotel-tycoon father hired her as an environmental consultant, so she strives to keep their connection a secret. But when she’s forced to work with the far-younger man, she falls for his charms…again and again. And Michael seems to see her in a way no other man has. Is she just another notch on his bedpost, or could love be a viable hypothesis?

Review from Cassie @idahogirlreads:
The Playboy Project by Michele Dunaway is such a cute romance! I flew through this delightful story about taking a leap of faith and trusting your heart.
Despite the title, this one is fairly low spice. Dunaway’s books are described as “hometown sweet with a hint of spice” and that sums this one up perfectly! The romance is center stage, but the whole story is tender and heartwarming.
I was rooting for both main characters and their HEA so hard in this one! They had hurdles to overcome and I loved the emotional growth on both their parts.
This one will be perfect for anyone who loves:
🩷 Small town setting
💙 Reformed bad boy
🩷 Age gap (FMC is older)
💙 Nature conservation
🩷 Dual POV
💙 Low spice romance
This is the 6th book in the Love in the Valley series, but it can be read as a standalone. And this is Dunaway’s 30th book with Harlequin!!! Such an impressive milestone!!

The Playboy Project by Michele Dunaway is a contemporary romance set in the author’s A Love in the Valley book series. This is a special 35th anniversary The Playboy Project focuses on Hermoine who is a biologist and Michael, who is a famous and known playboy. Michael has faced one too many scandals and goes to the small town of Beaumont. He runs into Ione one night at a local bar and the two hit it off immediately. Ione doesn’t want to fall for Michael as he is a player with women and she doesn’t want to be just another woman in his bed. And Michael finds himself falling for Ione and her alone for the first time in a long time. I loved the writing in this book, it was engaging for a romance and I found myself wanting to know if Hermoine and Michael would have a happy ending. This is an excellent short romance read and I would love to read more by the author!
