Celebrating 25 Books with Harlequin!
Happy New Year! Be sure to read to the end to get a freebie! I’ll have one each month for you from another author I recommend.
I’m hoping that 2023 brought you far more joy than sorrow and far more wins than losses. For me, 2023 meant traveling to Michigan, Florida, Illinois, and New York City. One goal for 2024 is to travel even more. Last year also brought changes. I retired after 20 years, and then I began teaching English Language Learners in October, which is a full time, temporary teaching job. I’m loving it. I also saw the publication of my 25th book with Harlequin, and hitting this milestone was a long time in the making.
While I’ve been writing all my life, September 2024 will mark 25 years since my first sale. October 2025 will mark 25 years anniversary since my first book released. It still sometimes feels like a dream that I’ve sold over 1.8 million copies globally and been translated into over eight or nine languages, including Manga releases in Japan.
While part of me is sad to put 2023 in the review mirror, I’m ready to see what 2024 brings. I’m writing three more books for Harlequin, but you won’t see them until 2025. One Suite Deal is my only release in 2024, and it debuts in July.
I’m under contract with my 30th book with them (happy dance!) and but Love in the Valley #6 will debut after the Fortunes of Texas continuity. So a Love in the Valley book will be #25 and #30.
Finally, my word for this year is prosperare, which is Italian meaning to thrive, flourish and prosper. Let that be my wish for you in 2024 as well.
Michele
PS:
What I’m Listening to: thanks to John Mayer, I’m listening to his Channel 14 on Sirius XM. Because of this, if you said what celeb would you like to meet, I’d tell you him. He’d be fun to chat music with.
What I’m Watching: Percy Jackson and the Olympians (Disney+). I also watched all the Dr. Who specials, along with binging just about everything else.
What I’m Reading: I just finished Janet Evanovich’s Dirty Thirty and won’t give you spoilers. Otherwise, lots of romance reading, of course.
