The Secrets of Sweet Blessings Bakery was exactly the cosy romance I hoped it would be. I loved settling into Sugar Gap and simply enjoying the story, with its beautiful small-town setting, emotional family storyline, second-chance romance and wonderful bakery atmosphere.

I particularly enjoyed the dual POV, seeing Mariah and Sam’s perspectives and getting a glimpse of how differently they viewed their shared past. Their first love felt genuine, making their second chance all the more enjoyable.

Mariah could be frustrating at times, but as her story unfolded it became easier to understand the insecurities behind some of her decisions. I also loved seeing her rediscover her enjoyment of baking and reconnect with the bakery she had once called home.

After so much recent reading in the mystery and thriller world, I really appreciated having a book I could simply relax into without trying to solve anything or look for hidden clues. Warm, emotional and full of delicious bakery treats, this was a lovely reading experience.
