After all, if Stephanie Meyer can make vampires glitter, it’s okay to find your own path. 1. I don’t write every day. 2. Instead, I try to do a something writing related every day, which might be reading or watching a rom com. 3. I type every single word you read. It’s like I’m channeling them from my brain when I write. The story spills out. 4. I can’t remember my high school typing teachers, but I’m grateful to them every day. 5. I type fast and with a high degree of accuracy. 6. I write on a laptop. 7. Once the draft is done, I print out every page and then do a hard copy line edit where I write all over it. 8. Then I have to type all that in. I can add 10,000 words to a book this way. 9. I almost never cut a scene. It happens, but it’s rare.I see the scenes in my head when I write, which is why they spill out. 10. The biggest block when I write at home is that my cats try to help. |
